PLOGS BELOW (JML's Poetic Commentary)
JML's contribution to sobriety
First experience, wrought with impact
Unable to recall the moments of
First touch, First sight, First sound, First scent and First taste
I let my heart and mind experience the desire
To know thy self and all of my Veils
To accept without shame my own ignorance
To live without recall for a basis of judgment
To experience without any pretense of knowing
To lose myself to the Great I AM-Unknown
I hate the crickets interrupting my escape.
But their chirping provided a muse,
A means of acceptance and rhythm for losing time
When I lost space, the fall was frightening,
I only knew land and buoyant sea.
And I thank the alcohol for showing me numbness;
The self is infinite and I can lay my tears side by side.
I Didn't Know My Own Strength
I'll Never Love This Way Again
