Often, I'd launch myself into Pops' lap
We sat and listened to the piano
My Mother would play little ditties
I'd sit and listen-- Pops listened
He said nothing-- I can remember
Pops earned a Purple Heart--
Surviving Pearl Harbor.
In Honor of all Veterans, November 11th
Especially my Grandparents, my Father
