Hello All!

Recently, I googled the average cost of just utilities for hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner. It seemed appropriate to acknowledge the additional expenses modern life comes with. And irony of TIME and efficiency and cost effective methods still will not compare to the importance of gathering to break bread and give thanks.

In 2007, I thought expatriating to the UK would be a "good idea." Living in Manor House, London, I learned quickly what makes America and Americans great. I often have flashbacks to delivering a painting in Camden; a woman in her early twenties overheard me say "hello" to a fellow pedestrian. Then, she approached me with a wide open hug and said, "I've never met an American and I need to hug you." I was 26 at the time but even now thinking about that shiny spark of charisma from another human just believing in the power of America still brings me joy and hope.

America stands for FREEDOM to many people world wide. Its a shame that many Americans have become a slave to "work" for the sake of buying more "stuff." While in the UK, there were things regarding taxes and social status that just made me want to go "home." And I left London... to "do time" on Wilshire in Los Angles.... needless to say, I didn't want to be there either.

The JOY and BLISS of life will mean nothing without having a purpose and others to share your life with. JML-Studio does SCHMALTZ and for the holiday seasons... I will give just that... my schmaltzy love candy!

So, starting December 1st... the first 12 Days of Christmas will be 12 Days of Gifts via Southern Hospitality Monologues from your favorite southern genre films.

And just because I was born & raised in Mobile, Alabama (and currently live here) the SAINTS are going to come MARCHING IN. Few people... very few... world wide, recognize that Mobile, Alabama is the home of Carnival Season in America... and yes... we call it MARDI GRAS! So, I will present:

12 Days of Saints for BABY Jesus!

and that shall brings us all to Christmas Eve celebrating HOPE for the WORLD!

I wish you all much warmth and blessings for Thanksgiving! And the blogs will start Dec. 1st, 2014. www.jean-marielee.com
